Hi, I'm name in hand lettering,

Designer, Artist and Music Enthusiast.

Growing up, I have always taken a liking to art through drawing and painting. I would spend hours drawing my own comic pages, that later became binders full of graphic novels. While I used these skills to prepare for Sheridan's Animation Program, I took Sheridan's Art Fundamentals Program.

A project was given to the class to design a useful product. I thought of a tool that most artists use every day and how a simple alteration to the basic design could make it work much better for people. While our class presented their works, most products were chairs or bags. They sparked questions in the rest of my classmates, such as: "how does that support your back?" or, "how do you sit in it with the suspension ropes in the way?" Most of these presenters had never stopped to think about these issues while creating their piece. When it was my turn to present, my classmates' collective observation was, "how did you decide on such simple solution to a tiny problem that most people don't even think about?" All I could say to them was that it had bothered me for years as an artist and in the end, it made the product much more useful. After the class, my professor approached me and told me I was heading in the wrong path. Animation was not for me. I needed to enrol in Graphic Design. I'm so glad I took his advice!

While studying in the York/Sheridan Bachelor of Design program I couldn't decide between typeface design, print, packaging, video design or web. I wanted to learn it all, so I did my best to learn as much as I could in all disciplines. I have not abandoned my artistic roots either. I strive every day to impliment my drawings into everything I design.
